You may have noticed that during the months of March and April, we have celebrated and recognized Teachers of the Year around our state and here in Chester County School District. I've thought a lot about how teachers all over our district have put in long hours during this school year, and every year for that matter!
Like all of us, our students need to be heard. Rick Dalhgren, author of Time to Teach, says, "Our teachers connect with our students by listening to them as immediately and actively as we can, but we all know that being an active listener in a busy classroom is not easy!"
Think about how many times a teacher is listening and making decisions about what is best for our children everyday! As you are thinking about this overwhelming task, think of a teacher who has made a difference for your child this year...and thank them before the end of the year!
...And thank you for being an advocate for our students! They are our future.
